Role Overview: As a Mechanical Pre-Construction Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our Pre-Construction team based in our SE1 office, conveniently located within walking distance from London Bridge Station. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping projects during their early stages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support QS in preparing documentation for sub-contractor and supplier enquiries.
  • Distribute supplier and subcontractor enquiries and line up returned bids.
  • Assist QS/Procurement department with placing orders.
  • Conduct design audits/reviews and raise RFIs as necessary – assess for any potential VE.
  • Manage CDP subcontractors during the pre-construction phase.
  • Manage external Design Consultant.
  • Manage BIM/Working Drawing resources.
  • Issue Technical submittals.
  • Attend Design Team meetings.
  • Issue Preconstruction reports to client.
  • Assist QS with variations and managing change.
  • Attend Factory witness tests where applicable.

Contract:              Full time (40 hours), officed based

About you:

We’re seeking an individual with on-site experience, preferably as a Supervisor or Site Manager, eager to transition into an office environment and advance their careers. We highly value a positive, can-do attitude, and a strong desire to learn. Candidates from Plumbing or Pipefitting backgrounds with exceptional problem-solving skills are encouraged to apply. A degree in Mechanical Engineering is not a prerequisite for this role.
