Paddington Square

Client: Mace

Contract Value: £7,000,000

One of our most recent projects has been the redevelopment of Paddington Square. This project allowed us to continue our working relationship with Mace, with whom we have developed a strong collaborative partnership over the years.

Paddington Square is a brand-new construction with premium workspace, top-notch retail, West London’s highest rooftop restaurant, and a new 1.35-acre public square. It is owned by Great Western Developments Ltd. and managed by Sellar.

The project encapsulated the shell and core of the entire building. With our M&E solutions, we installed a complete Cat A fit out to 14 floors of prime office space. We carefully considered the HV and LV distribution and containment, and lighting. We installed lighting controls along with earthing and life safety and undertook full testing and commissioning as standard.

8 Bishopsgate

Client: Lend Lease

Contract Value: £2,600,000

This was a hugely exciting project to work on, as it truly embodied our vision to build better buildings that are fit for the future.

8 Bishopsgate was a new high-rise, 50-storey tower located on the corner of Bishopsgate and Leadenhall Street, London. The building had ambitious plans to become the UK’s most sustainable speculative office tower, and the design focused on achieving low embodied carbon and being low-carbon in operation.

Lend Lease contracted ROCMEP to undertake the Public Health, plumbing and electrical fit out of 145 toilet cores & cleaners facilities across all 50 floors, in addition to the fit out of the shower and WC areas within the two basement levels.

Our challenge was to find sustainable solutions while also minimising any health and safety risks on site.

To counteract the H&S risks, our prefabrication specialists created the domestic services manifolds in an offsite factory facility before bringing them onsite into a dedicated manufacturing location. For the plumbing aspects of the project, water recycling technology was employed to utilise Grey water facilities serving WC and urinal flushes, with boosted cold and hot water services serving all basins, cleaners, sinks and showers.
