ROCMEP have been awarded our latest project at Paddington Square, where we are delighted to be continuing our journey with Mace, who we have built a great relationship with over the years.
Paddington Square, owned by Great Western Developments Ltd and managed by Sellar, is a new development incorporating premium workspace, world class retail, west London’s highest rooftop restaurant and a new 1.35 acre public square.
ROCs works consist of shell and core of the entire building along with a cat A fitout to 14 floors of prime office space, HV and LV distribution, containment, small power, lighting, lighting control, earthing, life safety, testing and commissioning.
Client: Lend Lease
Contract Value: £2,000,000
The construction of a new high-rise 50 storey tower on the corner of Bishopsgate and Leadenhall Street, London.
ROC MEP are contracted to undertake the Public Health, Plumbing and Electrical fit-out of 145 toilet cores over all 50 floors, as well as the shower and WC areas within the 2 levels of basement. To reduce Health & safety risks on site, the domestic services manifolds were prefabricated in a factory facility before production was brought onto site, and moved to a designated manufacturing location. The development focuses heavily on sustainability; therefore, a grey (recycled) water system serves all WC and urinal flushes, with boosted cold and hot water services serving all basins, cleaners sinks and showers.
The design of the building has been developed to achieve both low embodied carbon and be low-carbon in operation, with plans to be the UK’s most sustainable speculative office tower.
