New Zealand House
Client: Multiplex
Contract Value: £9,500,000
Originally built in the 1960s and considered the city’s first tower block, this iconic building will undergo a major revamp on behalf of The Crown Estate. The project will feature approximately 95,000 sq ft of office space, along with new retail and bar facilities, including several floors for the original tenants, the New Zealand Government.
Our scope includes delivering new infrastructure such as transformers and MV Switchgear, generators, LV switchgear and Cast Resin Busbars, full electrical building distribution as well as completing the full commercial fit-out of the floors.
A key focus of this project is sustainability. 90% of the existing structure is being retained, steel is being sourced from re-use suppliers, and 1,600 sq m of heritage finishes are being carefully preserved. These efforts demonstrate a commitment to reducing environmental impact while honoring the building’s historic character.
This is our first project with Multiplex and we look forward to collaborating fully with them and the project team to bring this landmark project back to life.
South Molton Street
Client: Curo Construction
Contract Value: £5,000,000
ROC is thrilled to announce we have secured another prestigious project in the heart of Mayfair, London – South Molton Street, collaborating with Curo Construction once again, following our successful completion of Shinfield Studios earlier this year. This opportunity underscores our commitment to delivering excellence whilst building lasting and trusted partnerships.
The mixed-use development, delivered on behalf of overall client Grosvenor, presents a unique challenge and opportunity – preserving historic building facades and retaining the area’s landmarks, whilst creating 370,000 sq ft of new office space, housing, hotel, retail, F&B outlets, community and leisure spaces.
We will be delivering the full MEP works on site, which consists of a central ASHP system for heating and hot water to the 33 residential units, a VRF system serving the new retail units, all new life systems, along with new mechanical and electrical installations to all landlord and fit-out areas throughout the 15 self-contained units.
In line with Grosvenor’s sustainability commitments, the project aims to achieve net zero carbon in both operation and construction, minimising embodied carbon and waste wherever possible, with offsetting strategies in place to ensure the development is carbon neutral at practical completion.
