M&E contractors for hospitality settings

ROCMEP has almost 20 years of experience providing M&E solutions to the hospitality sector.

Some of the most recognisable restaurants and hotels in the UK, including The Ritz, Annabel’s, and Smith & Wollensky, have been transformed because of our close collaboration with clients like Caprice Holdings, Arcacia, and Splendid Hospitality.

We have expertise working in both budget-friendly and upscale hospitality settings, using our experience to add significant value to the overall customer experience. Whether it’s a new-build setting, or a historically significant building, we know how to find the right technical solutions to save operational expenses.

Where style meets substance

In contrast to commercial or residential environments, hospitality projects using mechanical and electronic engineering solutions may face unique difficulties. Whether clients want sophisticated CCTV cameras, fire alarms or completely automated lighting controls, the aesthetics are frequently just as crucial as the innovation and technology itself.

All possibilities must be considered to ensure that any final decisions do not interfere with the opulent surroundings and finishing touches.

Our collaborative approach at ROC goes beyond merely cooperating with architects and building contractors. To ensure that the finished project delivers the wow factor and keeps guests coming back time and time again, we welcome assistance from interior design teams. As collaborative champions, we will encourage them to work alongside us to create truly stunning internal atmospheres.

The end result is a warm, welcoming environment in perfect condition that guests want to return to and will recommend to others.

We work to quick turnaround schedules

Time is of the essence when it comes to hospitality M&E projects. Refits need to to be completed as quickly as possible, with minimum disruption to any guests.

We work with our clients to manage refurbishment strategies so that we can meet refit timetables. Our meticulous planning procedures allow us to deliver robust M&E solutions on schedule and with the least amount of disturbance.

Hilton London Bankside

Client: Splendid Hospitality

Contract Value: £4,000,000

The Hilton London Bankside was the development of a new five-star, 292-room hotel with a swimming pool, conference facilities and a ballroom.

ROC was contracted to install an LV system featuring all power and lighting along with a comprehensive fire alarm system that would work throughout the hotel. This complicated project also required a sophisticated data infrastructure, including CCTV cameras, intruder alarms, and panic sirens.

The scale of the project was shown by the challenge of the ballroom, which was the second-largest ballroom in London’s history. The ballroom featured twelve chandeliers, each over five metres long and 1.2 metres wide. Each chandelier featured 4,000 lights alone.

We worked on this project from concept to completion. Our collaborative partners included the in-house design team, experts from Splendid Hospitality, and the various architects and building contractors involved throughout the project.

Annabel’s

Client: Caprice Holdings

Contract Value: £1,800,000

For more than ten years, we have worked with Caprice Holdings to assist with the installations of many of Richard Caring’s upscale businesses, including Annabel’s, The Ivy, Sexy Fish, 34 Grosvenor Square, Electric House and J Sheekey.

On this particular project, Annabel’s, a private members club located in the heart of Mayfair, was undertaking a £55m refurbishment.

ROC supplied a full M&E fit out, beginning with a new HV sub-station in the basement, a new distribution install, and all power and lights. We also implemented a completely automated lighting control system along with CCTV, a state-of-the-art fire alarm, and extensive intruder and security systems.

Because of Annabel’s opulent stylings, we worked closely with the interior designers from Martin Brudnizki Style Studio to ensure that any installations perfectly complemented the design of the space.
