M&E contractors for residential buildings

ROCMEP has successfully worked alongside teams of architects, property developers and landlords to transform residential buildings, directly contributing towards a more sustainable way of living.

In addition to some of the biggest regeneration projects in the country, ROCMEP has successfully completed a diverse variety of M&E engineering residential projects, from mixed-use buildings to prestigious, high-rise, high-end developments. Previous residential projects that we have worked on include Harcourt Gardens at the South Quay Plaza close to Canary Wharf, Borough Yards in Southwark and One Creechurch Place in the City of London.

Our priority in creating sustainable built environments is to raise the standard of living for locals. We never forget that at the heart of our residential projects, is someone’s home. We’re not just creating sustainable buildings, we are creating new communities, places where people can meet, where ambitions can flourish and positive change can take place.

Our use of green technologies not only allows residents to experience high levels of comfort but also greatly lowers their energy costs and potentially lessens their carbon footprint. This strategy is assisting us in realising our goal, which is to influence positive change by creating better, future-proof structures.

Throughout our partnership, we will work alongside you and your stakeholders to ingrain any compliance standards and health and safety guidelines throughout every aspect of each project. The most recent technology will be used throughout all residential settings, from thorough fire and life safety systems to strict security settings to safeguard your building and protect your occupants.

South Quay Plaza 4

Client: Berkeley Homes

Contract Value: £8,500,000

South Quay Plaza 4 is a 56-storey high-rise residential development. It is part of the wider regeneration of the original South Quay Plaza area on the Isle of Dogs. When the project is finished, there will be 400 residential units, ground-floor shops, a spa, a gym, and a shared sky garden.

Harcourt Gardens, the ensuing development, will be a place of balance and equilibrium.

We designed and installed the electrical and specialised infrastructure of the building in collaboration with staff from Berkley Homes and other important partners, such as architects Foster + Partners. Thanks to our in-house BIM capabilities, we could visually present the various solutions to all parties. Installation of HV cabling and transformers, submains distribution, and full-height rising busbar were all part of our M&E solutions. The most recent fire detection and alarm system, a life safety system, and a comprehensive lighting control system were also installed.
