On Thursday 10th October, our teams across the business came together to mark World Mental Health Day.
It was wonderful to see so many of our teams coming together—and to catch a glimpse of their choice of delicious treats for the occasion. Shout out to Konrad Markwardt (Commercial Director) who baked a cake just for the occasion!
This year’s theme set by the World Federation of Mental Health is workplace mental health. The theme highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, for the benefit of people, organisations, and communities.
This is particularly important for those of us working in the construction industry in the UK. With demanding hours, high-pressure environments, and physically tough work, it’s easy to see why mental health issues are common in our sector.
Today is an important moment for us all to reflect on our mental health and promote the vision of Good Mental Health for All. By taking time to engage in events like this, we’re not only building connections but also breaking down stigma, fostering understanding, and taking meaningful steps towards building a healthier and happier construction community.
