ROCMEP – Working safely through COVID-19

Director Declan Roche, explains some of the measures ROCMEP is taking throughout the pandemic to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone who works with and for ROCMEP.

On-site

Working-safely-through-COVID-19We’ve put in a wide range of health and safety measures on site and in offices. These include:

  • Providing PPE and secure snood face coverings.
  • Reducing physical interaction and enabling everyone to socially distance through signage and one-way systems.
  • Installing rapid tests and thermometers to detect and curb the spread of the virus.
  • Cleaning surfaces and equipment more frequently, and installing handwashing points and sanitisers across the site
  • Giving all site visitors a safety induction to ensure they fully understand the measures on site to protect themselves and others.

Off-site

ROCMEP staff are working and collaborating remotely wherever possible; sharing and communicating online. We’ve upgraded our hardware and software, and use the latest web-conferencing tools to hold virtual meetings with clients and partners. We’ll keep improving our connectivity and ways of interacting to work more efficiently.

Keeping flexible, responding fast, staying resilient

The COVID-19 crisis is continuously evolving, and we meet regularly so we can respond swiftly to any changes and keep everyone in our team up to date with the latest health and safety measures.

All our work is carried out in accordance with the Construction Leadership Council Safe Site Operating Procedures (SOP) which is based on Government advice.

A big thanks to all our teams, sub-contractors and clients for their efforts and patience during this difficult time.

ROCMEP runs for the Alzheimer’s Society

ROC MEP has entered a team to take part in The Grand Brighton Half Marathon, one of the most popular races in the UK and a significant fundraising event for many worthy charities and causes. 2020 will mark 30 years of the event!

Our chosen charity this year is Alzheimer’s Society; the only UK charity funding research into the cause, treatment, care and prevention of dementia. Unit the day they find a cure, they’ll be there to support anyone affected, whoever they are, whatever they’re going through.

By joining Team Alzheimer’s Society, we will be part of the movement to help end dementia. One person develops dementia every three minutes and too many face it alone, therefore, any support will help find a cure and achieve a vision of a world without dementia.

Our aim is to run for fun, whilst raising money for such a worthy cause.  If you are able to donate any value, please click here to visit our JustGiving Page. Once donated, your money will go directly to the charity
