ROCMEP secures another prestigious project with Curo Construction: South Molton Street, London

ROC is thrilled to announce we have secured another prestigious project in the heart of Mayfair, London – South Molton Street, collaborating with Curo Construction once again, following our successful completion of Shinfield Studios earlier this year. This opportunity underscores our commitment to delivering excellence whilst building lasting and trusted partnerships.

The mixed-use development, delivered on behalf of overall client Grosvenor, presents a unique challenge and opportunity – preserving historic building facades and retaining the area’s landmarks, whilst creating 370,000 sq ft of new office space, housing, hotel, retail, F&B outlets, community and leisure spaces.

We will be delivering the full MEP works on site, which consists of a central ASHP system for heating and hot water to the 33 residential units, a VRF system serving the new retail units, all new life systems, along with new mechanical and electrical installations to all landlord and fit-out areas throughout the 15 self-contained units.

In line with Grosvenor’s sustainability commitments, the project aims to achieve net zero carbon in both operation and construction, minimising embodied carbon and waste wherever possible, with offsetting strategies in place to ensure the development is carbon neutral at practical completion.

We’re proud to be a part of a project that will leave a lasting impression in Mayfair.

ROCMEP completes works at Regents Wharf for Wates Group

ROC is proud to announce the successful completion of Regents Wharf, a dynamic mixed-use development located on Regent’s Canal in King’s Cross, London.

Contracted by Wates Group, we have delivered a comprehensive scope of works to a 5-storey new build plus refurb works to existing buildings, basement areas, roof areas, and external lighting.

Now complete, Regents Wharf offers 111,000 sq ft of contemporary commercial space, complemented by 17,500 sq ft of private gardens and terraces. The development celebrates its industrial heritage with the preservation and restoration of three historic buildings, seamlessly integrated with a new, stylish space designed to provide an inspiring environment.

Sustainability has been at the forefront of the project: powered by renewable energy, resulting in a Carbon Neutral development in operation. The campus has been awarded a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating for its sustainability and environmental efforts.

A huge well done to all involved!

The sun shines for Silkstream Site Visit

A great day for a site-visit to Silkstream, our latest project with Berkeley Group.

Working with St George, a Berkeley Brand  who specialise in high quality mixed use sustainable regeneration in London, the homes at Silkstream have been designed to use less energy than a standard home, resulting in fewer carbon emissions.

Some other fantastic eco-stats from the project include:

🌍 195 trees planted in phase 1
🌍 895% biodiversity net gain
🌍 174 vehicle charging points

Our Scope:

The scheme, known as Silkstream Phase 1, consists of 263 units split over 3 blocks along with basement areas assigned for resident use and Sainsburys which is part of the overall development.

As part of the project, ROC will be installing Exhaust Air Heat Pump technology to every flat which provides hot water and heating negating the need for central plant systems. Other services include a full smoke vent system including car park vent, separate commercial and residential sprinkler systems, Car Park management system, security and fire alarm systems.

We’re excited to continue our working relationship with the Berkeley Group and look forward to making this project a successful one.

ROCMEP Complete Works at 8 Bishopsgate: the UK’s most sustainable office tower

8 Bishopsgate: the UK’s most sustainable speculative office tower and the tallest structure to receive a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating.

ROCMEP were contracted by Lendlease to undertake the public health, plumbing and electrical fit out of 145 toilet cores & cleaners facilities across all 50 floors, in addition to the fit-out of the shower and WC areas within the two basement levels.

Our challenge was to find sustainable solutions while also minimising any health and safety risks on site.  To counteract the H&S risks, our prefabrication specialists created the domestic services manifolds in an offsite factory facility before bringing them onsite into a dedicated manufacturing location. For the plumbing aspects of the project, water recycling technology was employed to utilise grey water facilities serving WC and urinal flushes, with boosted cold and hot water services serving all basins, cleaners, sinks and showers.

This was a hugely exciting project to work on, as it truly embodied our vision to build better buildings that are fit for the future.

Congratulations to all involved in this amazing building now taking pride of place in the Square Mile.

ROCMEP onsite at Regents Wharf Kings Cross

ROC have been engaged by Wates Group for the Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of the Electrical Works for Regents Wharf Kings Cross, as part of completion of a 5 storey new build, refurb works to existing buildings, basement, roof areas and external lighting.

Once completed, Regents Wharf will offer 111,000 sq ft of contemporary commercial space, plus 17,500 sq ft of private gardens and terraces, some with views of the city and others overlooking the canal.

The development is rich in industrial heritage: three historic buildings remain and are being sensitively restored and complemented by a stylish new space to provide an inspiring environment. There is a huge emphasis on #sustainability, which will result in a Net Zero Operational Carbon development for the end user, plus a #BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.

We are looking forward to working closely with Wates to deliver this exciting development.
